The Pre-Action Valve is a specialized fire protection valve designed for areas where accidental water discharge could cause significant damage. It combines the advantages of dry and deluge systems by keeping water out of the piping until a fire detection system is activated.
Under normal conditions, the sprinkler pipes remain dry. When the fire detection system (smoke, heat, or flame detectors) is triggered, the Pre-Action Valve opens and allows water to fill the piping. Water is discharged only if a sprinkler head subsequently activates, providing an additional layer of protection against false alarms.
