The swing check valve is designed to allow automatic flow control in pipeline systems by opening and closing the internal flapper according to the flow direction.
When water starts to move in the forward flow direction, the flapper opens automatically and provides a full bore passage, allowing unrestricted flow through the valve. When the flow stops or reverses, the flapper closes immediately, preventing reverse flow and protecting the pipeline and connected equipment.
The flapper is designed to ensure full passage, minimizing pressure loss during operation. Sealing is achieved by the precise contact of the flapper with the metal seating surface. For applications requiring enhanced tightness, the flapper can be rubber-coated, providing improved sealing performance, especially at low pressure conditions.
The valve can optionally be equipped with a counterweight mechanism to control the closing speed and optimize flow behavior. It is suitable for installation in vertical pipelines, offering flexibility in system design.
Maintenance and repair operations are simple and efficient. By removing the top cover bolts, the internal flapper and connection mechanism can be easily accessed without removing the valve body from the pipeline.
For correct operation, the valve must be installed in accordance with the flow direction arrow marked on the valve body.
