Pipeline Maintenance Installations
The V103 lug type butterfly valve is designed with a centered disc rotating 90 degrees inside the valve body, allowing the fluid flow to be started, stopped or regulated efficiently through quarter-turn operation.
Thanks to its lug type connection, the valve is installed between pipe flanges and securely fastened using fully threaded bolts, providing strong axial support and enabling easy installation or removal. Unlike wafer type valves, the V103 lug type butterfly valve can be used as an end-of-line valve, making it suitable for pipeline maintenance applications.
The standard configuration features a nickel plated ductile iron disc, offering enhanced corrosion resistance and smooth surface characteristics. The valve body is manufactured from GG25 cast iron, with GGG40 ductile iron available as an option for higher strength requirements.
The EPDM vulcanized sealing sleeve ensures reliable bi-directional tight sealing, while the precisely engineered disc geometry minimizes pressure loss even though the disc remains within the flow section. The machined disc design provides low and stable operating torque throughout the valve’s service life.
The valve body is fully coated to protect against external corrosion. The anti blow-out stem design enhances operational safety, while the long neck construction makes the valve suitable for insulated pipeline systems.
The standard version is supplied with a hand lever, including intermediate locking positions that allow the valve to be fixed at the desired opening angle. The ISO 5211 mounting flange enables direct installation of gearboxes, pneumatic or electric actuators without the need for additional accessories.
Hydrostatic testing is performed in accordance with EN 12266-1, with seat test pressure at PN × 1.1 and shell test pressure at PN × 1.5, ensuring reliable performance and operational safety.
